Hello and welcome to my August Plan with me
Unbelievable, it is already August. In 4 months it will be Christmas and in the first shops you can already find the Christmas sweets, while outside it is still 30 degrees Celsius.
Before you watch this setup – please check my July setup first. After that you might be able to understand my design ;D
Why do I say this? Very simple: you could think that the design for August is from the autumn. I chose rather soft, dark and calm colours and combined them with clouds and moons. And now the big surprise (not): the highlight colour this month is my Tombow Dual Brush Pen in number 312.
The cover page
For my cover page I was inspired by the Instagram profile Art_n_fox by Laura. Her Bullet Journal looks fantastic – be sure to check it out!
For the colours I actually diluted my Tombow 312 with a lot of water and mixed it partly with other green or blue tones and painted this sky. Unfortunately you don’t see the gold as much as I hoped, but I can live with that.
Month at a glace
The monthly overview is very large this time so that all my appointments can find space in it. I have divided the page so that Monday to Wednesday fits on the left and Thursday to Sunday on the right. Because of this division, the days on the right are also a little smaller than on the left.
At the beginning of the month, I also started to draw small boxes in the bottom left corner of each day. These are single mini trackers. Unfortunately, I was a bit lazy towards the end of the month and it frustrated me that I couldn’t fill in this tracker, so I didn’t paint it at all.
The weekly spreads
The structure of the weekly overviews has not changed much in recent weeks. At the moment I come best with this two-day-per-page layout. Sometimes I do the division vertically, sometimes horizontally.
The first week I have again divided into appointments and to-do’s. And as you can see, this time I really needed it. On most days I also set my workout as a date to motivate myself.
To save space, I currently often add the weekend in a column. On Saturdays or Sundays there is usually not so much to do anyway that I would need an extra page for it.
The following week I used the vertical separation to create a time overview. Since I have the times in the middle, I can plan my days well to the left and right of it. Most of the time I need such overviews to calculate travel times or plan workout times.
Extra: a running to-do list
A continuous to-do list is a list that is constantly being expanded. Here I write down everything that has to be done sometime in the next months. As I work in different areas, I have created a subdivision on the right-hand side to indicate which department has the relevant task.
What I am still missing here is a deadline. I would definitely add that next time!
At the bottom edge I glued a corner of handicraft paper and painted the shape with white lines. In it there is a quote from Oprah, which should remind you to just think of yourself. What is it that I want to achieve?
Have you ever had an autumn mood in the middle of summer? See you next time. – L.
