April Bullet Journal Setup

Bullet Journal inspiration – April 2021

The scent of flowers and the power of the first rays of sunshine – that’s what you’ll find in this Bullet Journal design.

April is usually the first month of the year with really warm days. Many flowers start to bloom and if you are very lucky, you might be able to go outside without a jacket for a day or two. To pick up on this mood, this bullet journal setup is very colourful and full of flowers.
Many colours, many details, many impressions.

Month-At-A-Glance and Habit Tracker

As in March, I have placed my cover page and the monthly overview on a double page. Somehow I find that better at the moment. This way I can see my cover page much more often and I’m really happy with how it looks this month.

My cover page consists of a big photo of flowers that I found on Pinterest. I wrote the word “April” on another sheet of paper, cut it out and stuck it on the photo. Above it are four circles painted in the colours I used throughout the month. There are 4 different Tombow colours.

On the right side I have a small monthly overview. Here, too, I wrote the first letters of the weekdays on another sheet, cut them out and stuck them on. Underneath, I have adopted my tracker exactly as I did in March.
In the upper rows I have tracked individual habits and below that my working hours as bars and my sleeping hours as a line. You can find a detailed explanation here.

Weekly Spreads

On the right side I have a small monthly overview. Here, too, I wrote the first letters of the weekdays on another sheet, cut them out and stuck them on. Underneath, I have adopted my tracker exactly as I did in March.
In the upper rows I have tracked individual habits and below that my working hours as bars and my sleeping hours as a line. You can find a detailed explanation here.

The first weekly overview is pretty cool. At the edge of the page I taped a rectangle with washi tape. Then I took a clear film and painted on it with my 4 colours for this month. Then I sprayed it with water and pressed the wet foil onto the rectangle. This creates this colourful watercolour pattern.
I divided the page evenly and made a section for each day. The date and the first letter of the day of the week are always written in the upper left corner. Super simple and mega pretty at the same time.

The next two weeks are a double page spread. At the top of the page I cut out two rectangles from a flower photo. I found the picture again on Pinterest.
On the left side you will find a small calendar in the upper left corner. The rest of the page is more or less evenly divided for all days of the week. I found inspiration for this on Pinterest.
This uneven division is so different from anything I usually do. It was somehow very refreshing.

On the right side, I divided the free space into 9 segments. the first segment remained free. The other 8 I always painted with one colour per line and wrote the date. The last segment is for notes.
This overview is great if you want to enter a few things per day but still want to fit the whole week on one page.

Quote Page

As I said, this month I wanted a pretty design. So I couldn’t resist printing out a photo of roses and matching Pantone cards from Pinterest. I also printed out a definition of the word “Wanderlust” and picked out some Washi Tapes.
All in all, I just arranged everything according to my feeling until it all fit together harmoniously. This page is the perfect end to a colourful and motivating month.
So if you’re in a slump or simply unmotivated to use your bullet journal, I can only recommend that you simply make a pretty design. A design that you just want to look at. That already helps a lot.

Which spread this month was your fav? Let me know in the comments below! Until next time, Xo — L
